MSN EMAIL LINK DOESN'T WORK

I have noticed that under Tools>InternetOptions>ProgramsTab that the E-mail pull-down menu is blank - I cannot select a program.

Eudora in as default.
I am using Outlook as my mail client and sometimes have to use Eudora to check clients email. Some how Eudora has put itself in as the default client when I click on an email link. I have gone under Tools/Options/General and both the email and news set as default buttons are grayed out.

Also, I am having the problem of multiple IE windows (55 to be exact) popping up when I click on an email link in IE6. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098 When I click on the "Make default" button in OE6 under Tools/Options, the setting is not saved then next time I back into Tools/Options.

In IE4 cannot email link or page
Outlook Express runs fine, and it's selected as the default newsgroup reader. The pulldown menu under Tools>Internet Options>Programs for selecting default email is blank. When in Explorer and I click on an email link, I get a popup saying that no default email has been selected. Any idea how to correct this?

I tried copying mine onto the client machine in the turnpike directory, but get an error saying turnkick can't run when I click on an email link in IE.
